Just ONE DAY left for the Bite Me photo contest! Oh my sweet googly buckets but the entries so far are A JILLION KINDS of delightful. Never has checking my e-mail provoked more tiny shrieks of amused delight (which then lapse into coughing). The cats are dreadfully confused.

However, the field is still wide open for your special creation! I expect to see more in my inbox by tonight THANK YOU. And a reminder that you can enter as many times as you like. Some of you already have! That is called gaming the system.

All the entries will go up on the website, and the top ten will receive a special place with my reaction commentary below. And everybody who manages to come up with a real chicken and/or horse automatically receives a pack of five 1" buttons.

In the interests of dateline fairness, y'all have until noon on the 25th (Pacific time). Send 'em in to bitemecontest@gmail.com, you know the drill.

Also: I now have a Project Wonderful tower ad in the left sidebar of Bite Me! Those of you who advertise with PW, please feel free to toss bids my way. It's cheap as dirt and it's a big fancy spot. Go nuts.

BAM.

Only 5 days until the book is for sale online! Only 3 days left to enter the Bite Me! photo contest!

I don't have enough entries yet to thoroughly delight myself, although the quality thus far has been insanely high. I invite you all to enter and thus lower the bar.

Let me remind you what is at stake (haha) here:

1 copy of the Bite Me! book, signed and with a sketch of your character of choice
1 limited edition commemorative "They Always Ask About the Spoon" spoon - also signed! Only 100 of these will ever exist!
Real Vampires Don't Frikking Sparkle vinyl sticker
5 one-inch buttons:

A more than $30 value! Yours for the mere price of acting like a total goober. First runner-up gets a signed copy of the book with a sketch.

Here is my own lazy example of an entry (I expect you to be more creative). You see how even the simplest of minds using built-in laptop cameras can produce a reasonable facsimile of my cartooning skills circa 2004.

Added incentive: anybody able to produce a REAL CHICKEN in their photo automatically achieves semifinalist status and gets a free set of buttons.

Tell your friend, and send those entries in to bitemecontest@gmail.com! And visit the new website for reference!
