Animals for Animals: Leggy Llama

Behold!  Another day, another fundraising critter for Heifer International.  These things keep selling immediately!  (If you want a good leap on one then I recommended hanging around my Twitter account between 11 and 3 Pacific.)

I love this one so much, guys.  Witness ye the Leggy Llama.

Llama for Heifer

Also already sold!  I think I’ll start noodging the price up a little bit, since folks seem to be very enthusiastic about both the paintings and the beneficiary.

After I raise $500 I will produce prints so that those of you without much spending money can contribute, too!

I am so pleased she is going to a good, llama-loving home!

She is already in the mail. *sniff*

Supply and Demand
You are obviously underpricing your excellent work! So much so that I don't even get a chance to buy it!

I have liked all of these but this one I love with so much love!

To all of the great suggestions, I add a meerkat. (Though it isn't really a new suggestion, because there's already been a request for a mongoose.) Also am totally into seals, though I confess I have no money to back this up either. I'm thrilled you're getting such a response for a worthy cause, though!

And SOOO PLEASED to have Family Man back, with dialogue and everything! That completely made my Wednesday!

Jealous of who got it! Adorable!

Do I have to publicly scold you people into raising your prices?
Dec. 4th, 2009 09:47 pm (UTC)
Yes sir. Yes, you do.

One problem I've run into is that people really won't buy stuff (or at least not in a decent timeframe) once you hit $100. It's like some magic barrier!

Maybe that will change once all we young ladies have more books on the market and serious collector-types start buying stuff from ladies who aren't Wendy Pini.

Or once Etsy allows for "auction" functionality.

Yeah, this is a case where an auction option would have made a lot of sense.

Sticker shock goes away when you can rationalize a big price as "Oooooh, maybe just ten dollars more."

Scott's absolutely right. Even if it pushes your originals right out of my price range, prints will still be available....
