Oh, Luther. Somebody hand the man an inhaler, or something.

Meanwhile, check out this not completely unentertaining interview with me over on Comixtalk. I haven't had that haircut since 2005, but I was so amused that I let them keep it up.

If my wife gave me that look, I would know I was in trouble. ;)

Poor Luther.

Not that it matters, but that's me.

Luther, sweetie...you're not going to win any arguments when her 'hairy eyeball' look is that good.

No, really. Give up now.

Oh, Luther.

Good interview! (and so that's what you look like when not drawn by you...) If it weren't first thing in the am for me, and if I wasn't still working on coffee, I would say something intelligent about Bite Me and Family Man and how they are both engaging, excellent works in their own way, made better by the continuation of characters between them. But, you know, brain deth.

Ariana is so delightfully inscrutable. I predict she is just as likely to help Luthur as she is to serve him his own spleen.

Kinda wish I was living in Portland, but alas, it's an ocean away.

I love it. She hasn't said no. There are so many ways you could take the next panel. A simple "no," or her acting "against her better judgement," or her giving him what he asked for x100.

Ugh! It'll be a long week to wait.

One of the few advantages to putting a GN out weekly on the internet is that the smallest things turn into cliffhangers. Heh.

I enjoyed reading the panel, and the interview!; and the little details you put into your work really do make me smile. I'd love to have a paper copy of family man and BITE ME to share with some of my friends.

Luther, Luther, Luther...*shakes head*
The poor dear. He already knows by the time he's halfway through the sentance that he's going to regret asking...

I enjoyed that interview a lot, as I did the podcasts. It good to see you planning on getting both Bite Me! and Family Man printed. Nothing, in my mind beats the printed deal.

Man, I'm really liking that last panel. Luther, you should quit while you're...well not ahead, but at least while you have your head.

Oh, Luther. Hee.

That last expression of hers is priceless. Whether she helps him or not, he gets to squirm for his presumption first. Ariana is a force of nature, yo. (And, as such, is AWESOME.)

Speaking of the interview, you mention at the end that you planned to have Bite Me all scanned at print quality by the 15th. Did this actually happen? Because I will totally buy one when the book comes out.

HA HA oh man I'm supposed to help her out with that, too. Needless to say, it ain't done yet.

Yeah, moving in a new roommate really ate into my free time - I'm kind of amazed I've only missed one update.

That said, I'm still really committed to getting it done. :)

Howzabout we try to get it all done before we hit the beach next month? Just sayin'.

Ha. Poor Luther.

Actually, in my experience, the career of pretty much every teacher, ever, has started pretty much like this. "So, you've got the job! You start tomorrow. Actually, yesterday would be better. Textbooks? Maybe next week!"

Yeah, seriously. And Rector Nolte is that frantic superintendent with the haunted look in their eye from one too many harrowing budget meetings with the school board. He goes through secretaries like kleenex.

When I got to the last page I swear I broke out in this GIANT grin at the look on Ariana's face.

Luther should just back out if he knows what's good for him. :P
